Mango Privacy Policy
Mango for macOS is provided by Xiao Xu. Last updated: November 2, 2026. This policy explains how Mango handles information when you read documents, translate text, and contact support.
1. Documents and local storage
Mango reads the files and folders you select. It stores document references, settings, reading positions, translations, and terminology results on your Mac. It does not upload your library to a Mango server or provide a Mango account or cloud-sync service. Source documents are read without modification. Removing a document from the reading list does not delete its original file.
2. System translation
System Translation uses Apple’s macOS translation framework and installed language resources. Mango does not send these translation requests to a custom model provider. Apple manages framework availability, resource downloads and applicable system services under Apple’s policies. A high-quality preference does not guarantee that a specific model is available or used.
3. Optional model connections
If you choose a custom model service, Mango sends the text needed for the requested translation or terminology explanation, its instructions and your selected model to the API address you configured. Whole-document translation sends text section by section. The API key authenticates requests and may link them to your provider account; the provider also receives network information such as your IP address. Local endpoints send requests to the service running on your computer. Remote endpoints send requests to that external provider, potentially in another country.
Your choice and the provider’s policies
Mango asks for permission before the first document transfer to a remote destination. Saving a connection or refreshing its model list does not send your documents. A connection test sends a fixed short sentence. Only use a provider whose privacy, retention and security terms you accept and that is appropriate for your documents. Mango does not control an independently configured provider’s retention, model-training use or prices; review its policy before sending content. Third-party API charges are separate from Mango.
4. Credentials and privacy controls
API keys are stored in macOS Keychain rather than ordinary connection settings. You can delete connections and their saved keys, stop using remote services, and reset document-sharing permissions in Settings → Privacy. Resetting permission does not erase information already sent to a provider or revoke an API key at that provider. Revoke the key or request provider-held data deletion directly with the provider when needed.
5. Retention and deletion
Local settings, document references and cached results remain on your Mac until you remove them or delete the associated app data. Mango provides a cache-clearing action for translations and terminology results. Deleting the application alone may leave its local data or Keychain entries behind. Mango has no server copy of your library to retrieve or delete. For assistance with local deletion, contact the support address below; for externally processed data, contact the relevant provider.
6. Analytics, external links and this page
Mango includes no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDK and does not sell your personal information. Apple may handle App Store purchase or diagnostic information under its own policies. Document previews use bundled scripts and fonts and block network subresources. Links you choose to open are handled by your browser or another application. This policy page has no analytics scripts, cookies or external fonts. The website hosting provider may process IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and secure the page.
7. Support and requests
If you email support, we receive your email address and the content you choose to send. We use that information to respond to your request and retain the correspondence only as needed for support and applicable obligations. Do not send API keys or confidential documents. You can request access, correction or deletion of support correspondence by emailing xiaoxinqiu@icloud.com; applicable legal retention requirements may limit deletion.
8. Changes and contact

2. 系统翻译
系统翻译使用 Apple 的 macOS 翻译框架及已安装的语言资源，Mango 不将这类请求发送给自定义模型服务商。框架可用性、语言资源下载及相关系统服务由 Apple 按其政策管理。选择“优先高质量”不保证某个具体模型可用或实际被使用。
3. 可选的模型连接
选择自定义模型服务后，Mango 将翻译或术语解释所需的文本、指令和所选模型发送到你配置的 API 地址。全文翻译按文本段落发送。API Key 用于鉴权，可能将请求关联到你的服务商账号；服务商还会收到 IP 地址等网络信息。本地端点请求发送给本机运行的服务，远程端点请求发送给外部服务商，处理地点可能位于其他国家或地区。
你的选择与服务商政策
首次向某个远程目的地发送文档前，Mango 会请求确认。保存连接或刷新模型列表不会发送文档；测试连接只发送固定短句。请仅使用你接受其隐私、保留和安全条款，且适合处理相应文档的服务。Mango 无法控制用户独立配置的服务商的数据保留、模型训练用途或价格；发送内容前请查阅其政策。第三方 API 费用与 Mango 应用费用分开。
4. 凭据与隐私控制
API Key 保存在 macOS 钥匙串，而非普通连接设置。你可以删除连接及其保存的密钥、停止使用远程服务，或在“设置 → 隐私”中重置文档发送授权。重置授权不会删除服务商已收到的信息，也不会撤销服务商侧的 API Key；如有需要，请直接向服务商撤销密钥或请求删除数据。
5. 保存与删除
本地设置、文档引用及缓存保留在你的 Mac，直到你移除相应内容或删除应用数据。Mango 提供清空译文和术语缓存的操作。仅删除应用程序可能仍会留下本地数据或钥匙串条目。Mango 没有可代为取回或删除的文档库服务器副本。需要本地数据删除帮助时，请联系下方邮箱；外部服务已处理的数据应向对应服务商申请删除。
6. 分析、外部链接与本页面
Mango 不包含广告、跟踪或第三方统计 SDK，不出售你的个人信息。Apple 可能按其政策处理商店购买或诊断信息。文档预览使用随包提供的脚本与字体，并阻止网络子资源加载。你主动打开的链接由浏览器或其他应用处理。本隐私页面不使用统计脚本、Cookie 或外部字体；网站托管服务可能为页面交付与安全处理 IP 地址和请求元数据。
7. 支持与信息请求
你发送支持邮件时，我们会收到你的邮箱地址及你主动提供的内容，用于处理问题，并仅在支持工作及适用义务所需期间保留邮件。请勿发送 API Key 或保密文档。你可以通过 xiaoxinqiu@icloud.com 请求查阅、更正或删除支持邮件中的个人信息；适用的法定保存义务可能限制删除。
8. 政策变更与联系
